Cornerstone Offers both PCR and Rapid Antigen Tests

PCR COVID Test:

We currently send our samples to the lab and test results are typically returned to us in about 48 hours. If you have “MyChart” account through Rochester Regional Health, you will get a notification as soon as the test results are processed.

Rapid Antigen COVID Test:

Cornerstone also offer rapid antigen test which returns results in less than 15 minutes. Note that confirmatory PCR tests may be needed in some cases.

Insured Patients:

The cost of the visit may or may not be covered by your insurance depending on your insurance plan. Patients are responsible for their co-pays, co-insurance, and deductible when they apply. Therefore, patients are advised to call their insurance companies for more information regarding coverage.

Uninsured Patients:

The base charge for a sick visit is $125. There will be additional charge for COVID test.

Note that a COVID test is not covered by insurance when it is not medically necessary. When the patient does not have COVID-19 symptoms or a known contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 infection and the sole purpose of the test is for travel, employment, social event, etc., hence it is a self-pay visit.
